چکیده

The climate change impact and adaptation simulations from the Agricultural Model Intercomparison Improvement Project (AgMIP) for wheat provide a unique dataset of multi-model ensemble 60 representative global locations covering all mega environments. reported here has been thoroughly benchmarked against large number experimental data, including different locations, growing season temperatures, atmospheric CO2 concentration, heat stress scenarios, their interactions. In this paper, we describe main characteristics simulation dataset. Detailed cultivar, crop management, soil datasets were compiled to drive 32 growth models. consists 30-year simulated data 25 output variables nine Baseline (1980-2010) with 360 or 550 ppm CO2, +2oC +4oC mid-century scenario (RCP8.5, 571 CO2), 1.5°C (423 CO2) 2.0oC (487 warming above pre-industrial period (HAPPI). This can be used as benchmark well-tested in future analyses wheat. Also, resource use efficiency (e.g., radiation, water, nitrogen use) uncertainty under scenarios explored at scales. Adaptation pathways of global wheat production: Importance of strategic adaptation to climate change

Agricultural adaptation is necessary to reduce the negative impacts of climate change on crop yields and to maintain food production. However, few studies have assessed the course of adaptation along with the progress of climate change in each of the current major food producing countries. Adaptation pathways, which describe the temporal sequences of adaptations, are helpful for illustrating th...

Climate Change Impact on Some Factors Affecting Rainfed Wheat Growth (Case Study: Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province)

The aim of this study was to investigate the climate change impacts on some factors affecting rainfed wheat growth such as effective rainfall, planting date and length of growing season in four stations located in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. Firstly, it is necessary to predict future (2046-2065) climatic conditions. For this purpose, the output of HADCM3 general circulation model was us...

Farmers’ Perception Regarding Impact of Climate Change on Wheat Crop Production in Layyah District-Pakistan

Pakistan is at 28th amongst the countries that are going to be hurt badly by climate change. It falls in ten major wheat-producing countries of the world in terms of area, production and yield per hectare. Global warming, as a result of climate change, may negatively affect morphological characters of wheat. The present study was undertaken in district Layyah to find out the impact of climate c...

Regional climate change scenarios and their impacts on water requirements for wheat production in Iran

We simulate the effect of climate change on water requirements of cold seasonwheat in various climatic zones of Iran. The research considers both observedclimate (temperature and precipitation) changes during recent decades (1960-2009)based on instrumental records and projected future changes to 2100 based on theMAGICC/SCENGEN 5.3 compound model. 20 General Circulation models are usedbased on a...

Impacts of climate change on wheat in England and Wales.

The frequency and magnitude of extreme weather events are likely to increase with global warming. However, it is not clear how these events might affect agricultural crops and whether yield losses resulting from severe droughts or heat stress will increase in the future. The aim of this paper is to analyse changes in the magnitude and spatial patterns of two impact indices for wheat: the probab...
